Sharon University

Sharon University

Sharon University is a new and under development ministry at Sharon Baptist Church. Our goal is to establish a strategic and ongoing Discipleship program to equip believer’s in their faith. We hope to do this through Bible study, intentional prayer, and serving together on mission.

We know that this is a big goal but we serve a BIG God and we believe that, through hard work and increased efforts, we will continually better our discipleship ministry.

Student Discipleship
On Sunday evenings our Student Ministry meets from 5-6:45 for a time of fellowship and Bible study. These studies are typically more in-depth than the Wednesday Night Student Worship service and focus on Spiritual Habits/Disciplines. On the third Sunday of each month, the student discipleship class has a “GO!” Sunday, where they travel off campus to participate in ministry work at places such as nursing homes, community centers, and more.

Kid’s Discipleship
Although the AWANA program is more than just discipleship, there is no denying that the scripture memorization and Bible studies that occur during the AWANA meetings are a great tool to disciple kids. Our AWANA program meets during the school year at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday nights.

Women’s Discipleship Classes
Our women’s class meets on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. Their studies are usually a mixture of daily Bible study workbooks, DVD teachings, and a time of small group discussion.

Men’s Bible Study
Our Men’s Group is currently being surveyed to find the best time and format to meet. If you’d like more information about the men’s group, please contact the church office.

Adult Doctrine Study
Each Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m., Pastor Mark teaches a study for adults. This class focuses heavily on theology and doctrinal studies and has included topics such as The Baptist Faith & Message, comparing major religions, and more.
